Is Terrorism in Asia a perceived threat or reality?
IISS 2015, also dubbed the 4th International Security Seminar with the theme of "Terrorism in Asia - Its Challenges and Impact on Business & Security" was held on September 28 and September 29, 2015 at Dewan Kompleks Cahaya (KOMCA), Universiti Sains Malaysia.
The Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) Penang Chapter is the main organizer of the seminar in collaboration with the Royal Malaysia Police(RMP) and Universiti Sains Malaysia(USM).
Established in 1993, MCPF’s primary aim is to promote public awareness and participation in crime prevention efforts in tandem with the coordinated efforts of the government and private organizations interested and involved in crime prevention and the criminal justice system in Malaysia.
RMP (established 1807) and USM (established 1969) has been steadfast and stalwart partners with MCPF on various Crime Prevention activities involving Schools, Academia and the Industries.
This unique collaborative effort by MCPF, RMP and USM is the 4th in a series that started in 2004 that brings to the forefront contemporary Security and Crime Prevention issues and challenges faced by the community at large.
